Working Principle:
Implant induction welding is an advanced joining process for plastic manufacturing.
It uses an induction coil to heat an electromagnetically susceptible material at the joint interface, melting the surrounding thermoplastic.
The susceptible material can be embedded in a gasket between welding surfaces, or integrated directly into composite components.
This technology is ideal for large, complex-shaped, or delicate parts that are difficult to weld with traditional methods like ultrasonic, spin, or hot plate welding.
An induction coil converts the high-frequency current from the induction generator into the required alternating magnetic field. While a single-turn coil can be used when space is limited, multi-turn coil designs are more common, as they generate a stronger and more deeply penetrating magnetic field. Split-coil designs are also available, which can be disassembled to fully enclose large parts such as plastic piping.
The high currents used in induction welding generate significant heat in the coil. To prevent overheating, the coil windings are made of hollow tubing, with water circulated during welding to dissipate heat via an attached heat exchanger.
Fixtures hold the parts in position during welding. One fixture is fixed, while the other is movable, allowing a press to apply and maintain pressure throughout the heating and cooling phases.
Equipment
The machine uses an induction generator to produce high-frequency current in the range of 2-10 MHz. This frequency band is regulated by the FCC to avoid interference with broadcast signals.

Product Description
